What a journey it was to get to that point! From not knowing if we’d ever be able to conceive — after a miscarriage, our IVF journey, and having both hips replaced — just two months before this photo was taken.
One year later, I had both knees replaced.
So much of that time was a blur for me — but I remember that we were SO happy that day, to finally see the very first image of our little Lola Jean.
I remember wondering what kind of dad I could be — with my limited mobility and future surgeries. Sometimes, I still do… I just hope that through all of this, all three of our kids will learn to live with compassion and kindness — and to never give up. 🙏♥️
